SLF-100 is sold directly out of our store in a 1 quart container for $35 or a Gallon container for $125.  The picture listed is of a 1 gallon container.  SLF-100 is a must have in any hydroponic system.  It is a commercially proven enzymatic formula with over 18 years of proven success in hydroponic systems. It is a 100% organic and OMRI listed formula specifically designed to break out salts. Used as a cleanser for hydroponic systems and soilless media, SLF-100 goes to work immediately to keep your system running smooth and free of toxic buildup.

SLF-100 is effective in all phases of the growing cycle and is compatible with all nutrients, fertilizers, and rooting compounds. SLF-100 is also compatible with H2O2. Thanks to a proprietary blend of naturally occurring enzymes, SLF-100 is PH neutral in concentrated form and has no added sugars or NPK.

SLF-100 is an organic microbe based enzymatic cleaning agent for hydroponic and aeroponic systems, clone machines, and nutrient supplement for soilless growing media. SLF-100 was developed by Newton Hayes with South Cascade Organics 18 years ago when Hayes and his family were managing an organic vegetable farm. When mixed with water, the SLF-100 Concentrate breaks out salts in the form of phosphorus bonds and calcium that can build up on your topsoil or growing media or clog up your machines. It is suitable for both commercial and recreational gardeners for both indoor and outdoor plants.

SLF stands for Submerged Liquid Fermentation and is the process for creating the microbes that leave behind bacteria beneficial for plants. The pH-neutral solution contains no added sugars or NPK and is made from a base of microbes added to several species of grasses grown at South Cascade Organics. The four main bacteria in SLF 100 include Pseudomonas putida (Phosphor solubilizer) an amazing bacteria and antagonist for pythium and fusarium; Virgibacillus pantothenticus which aids in the production of ectoine and proline, helping plants to adapt to environmental stressors such as temperature swings and inconsistent precipitation; Bacillus thuringiensis to help with some pests and also has anti-pathogenic properties; and Bacillus subtillus a catalase-positive bacteria which give the plant food a change to break down into simple sugars and make the feeding more efficient.

How Can SLF 100 Help My Plants?

The bacteria in SLF 100 help plants make the most of the nutrients you give them by breaking them down into usable molecules. Often it is considered a good complement to the Nectar for the Gods line of nutrients. One cap full (about 5 ml) mixed into a gallon of water poured over the entire surface of the soil once or twice a week will allow the water to penetrate to the roots easier. It is important to shake the bottle well so all of the enzymes are activated after having settled and separated during transport. Regular use will also help prevent root rot.

Soil health is the basis of plant health. When the plant is able to absorb nutrients easier, the plant will grow healthier. It is appropriate to use throughout the grow cycle from clone to seed to mature plant. Because it is organic, it is safe for use around children and pets.

SLF 100 Can Help With Cleaning Hydroponics Systems

In hydroponics equipment, the calcium and other minerals, roots, and other organic matter can accumulate in the system. SLF 100 breaks down those clogs like Drano unclogs your sewer pipes.  Add 1-2 ml of the solution to a gallon of water that contains nutrient solution. Let the solution circulate through the system for several hours before draining and flushing the system with fresh water to remove any remaining debris. You can then go down to one half teaspoon per gallon of water after each hydroponic feeding or changeout.

If you have previously used other enzyme or microbial additives such as hygrozyme, Voodoo Juice Cannazym, Sensizym, or Subculture-M, please make sure you read the ingredients and dosing before using SLF 100. And as always, your knowledgeable staff at The Indoor Earthworm will help you select the best products for your indoor growing needs.
